 "My husband wanted to visit Maria Island on our trip to Tasmania - it was not a place I was familiar with so I booked a tour for us.  Eastcoast Cruises picked us up from our hotel in Hobart and transported us to the boat for the island.  We spent a few hours in a small group enjoying stunning caves, fur seals, penguins, and other marine life and birds.  We had excellent coffee and tea,  then were transported to Maria Island.  It was so nice to be away from the crowds and enjoy the prison history at our own pace, see the painted cliffs, and all sorts of wildlife including parrots, wombats, and pademelons.  Then back to Hobart.  The group was small     ( we even had one of the company staff on board on her day off - this is how much the staff love their jobs) and the sites beautiful.  We highly recommend Eastcoast cruises - this day tour was the highlight of our trip to Tasmania.  Thank-you!" -- Carrie and Jon
