Experience the ultimate day tour with One Day On Maria.   Enjoy your morning exploring Maria’s dramatic coastline and enthralling wildlife.  Explore seal colonies, sea caves, spring fed waterfalls, sweeping sandy beaches, towering mountain ranges and the world famous Fossil and Painted Cliffs.

Tour 1.  Riedle Bay - Continue south down the East Coast of Maria Island an explore this remarkable hidden coastline (accessible only by boat).  Visit mountain fed waterfalls, secluded bays, sea caves and blow holes.  Your cruise will take you to Riedle Bay for lunch at the Eastern side of McRaes Isthmus.  This stunning beach is identical to the World famous Wineglass Bay and is visited by a handfull of people each year.  The cruise then returns to Darlington via the same coastline, this time travelling some distance from the cliffs to expose the entire mountain range.

Tour 2.  Ile Des Phoques - At the northern tip of Maria Island your cruise will turn 90 degrees and head North towards Freycinet.  The Ile Des Phoques (French for Island of Seals) is a haven for marine life.  Here you sit with the seals whilst you enjoy lunch.  This is a remarkable experience in itself.  To enjoy gourmet Tasmanian produce whilst seals play about the boat is a dream for most (including us).  The cruise then takes you exploring the largest Granite Sea Caves in Tasmania (possible Australia) to claim that "once in a lifetime" photo.

In the afternoon,  your tour will dock at the World Heritage Darlington convict settlement.   Here you will enjoy a guided tour through Darlington’s fascinating collection of preserved convict buildings and historic artefacts.  Your tour includes a 3hr cruise with interpretation of wildlife and local history, complimentary buffet lunch of Tasmanian smoked salmon, Tasmanian cheeses, salads, dips, tea & coffee on board the boat!  Maria Island park entry & guided tour of the Darlington convict settlement & complimentary souvenir photo.

Both the Riedle Bay and Ile Des Phoques cruise now operate on alternating days.  Please ring with your preference in destination.

Due to popular demand, our tours will be extended to May 2014

Cruise & Walk tours will operate on Wed, Fri, Sat & Sun in May
