Award winning and celebrated wildlife tours of Maria Island National Park and Ile Des Phoques
NEW DATES open for JUNE
Choose from two amazing adventures!
(Available on alternate days)
Maria Island Cruises is established and operated by local marine scientists.  We have been operating our interactive and educational cruise & walk tours to Maria Island National Park and Ile Des Phoques Nature Reserve since 2006.
The only tours to combine viewing fur seals, dolphins, wombats, kangaroos, Cape Barren geese, eagles, wallabies, albatross and whales (during migration) with World famous landscapes and UNESCO World Heritage history in one day.
A day cruise like no other in Tasmania!
Hobart's #1 tour on Tripadvisor for
5 consecutive years with over 1200 x 5-Star reviews.
Our life-like plush toy wombats are designed by us to be the perfect Maria Island souvenir!
They are amazing quality, near like-like size at 40cm, have silky plush fur and come with a
custom designed storage box with the story of a wombat inside the lid.
Triabunna

Our beloved home town and the access point to Maria Island is a quaint historical fishing village and convict era garrison town, situated on the East coast only 1hr 15min from Hobart or 1hr from the Hobart International Airport.

Triabunna oozes with a relaxed charm and visitors love to engage with the open and friendly locals, sipping a coffee while watching the many fishing boats unload their prized catches or share a beer at the local historic pub and talk about life on the coast.

The accommodation in our region is a diverse range of hotels, motels, farm stays, modern bed & breakfasts and colonial era properties.  The Colonial (pictured above) is an iconic 1870s property now restored as a bed & breakfast in the heart of Triabunna, just walking distance from our cruise departure point.  Click HERE for the list of accommodation options in our area.
