Triabunna

Our beloved home town and the access point to Maria Island is a quaint historical fishing village and convict era garrison town situated on the East coast only 1hr 15min from Hobart or 1hr from the Hobart International Airport.

Triabunna oozes with a relaxed charm and visitors love to engage with the open and friendly locals, sipping a coffee while watching the many fishing boats unload their prized catches or share a beer at the local historic pub and talk about life on the coast.

Orford

Five minutes south of Triabunna (1hr 10min from Hobart or 55 min from the Hobart International Airport) is our popular holiday town that is much-loved by local Tasmanians who call the East Coast of Tassie home during the holidays of summer.  Orford's accommodation optionsare all within walking distance of fantastic beaches with spectacular views across the bay to Maria Island.  It is the perfect place to throw a beach towel down in summer and enjoy all the East Coast has to offer.

Both Orford and Triabunna are jam packed with accommodation options to suit everyones needs.  From camping and caravan park facilities, hotel accommodation, 5-star bed and breakfast, colonial era accommodation and renowned heritage farm stays, our region is just the place to base yourself here on the coast, relax and explore some of Tasmania's famous Tourism destinations.  Destinations such as Maria Island National Park, the Tasman Peninsula and Port Arthur, Freycinet Peninsula and Hobart itself are all accessible day trips from here on the coast!

The Triabunna Barracks

Triabunna Barracks is a recently redeveloped 1840’s sandstone Barracks and Stables finished to the highest standards. We are located just 60 minutes drive from Hobart Airport on Tasmania's sunny east coast. The property features huge bedroom suites, each with its own kitchenette and luxurious bathrooms with cosy heated floors.

Triabunna Cabin Park

Located in the main street of Triabunna is the local Cabin and Caravan Park.  Walking distance from shops, cafes and the town marina, the accommodation is well-appointed, clean, cosy and well-priced.  A popular option for guests traveling on our cruise and walk day tours.

Orford Beachside Holiday Park

Situated on the highway in Orford, directly opposite Raspin's Beach, the OBHP is a brand new and modern accommodation facility for our region.  Including camping for large motorhomes and caravans, the park also offers accommodation in new self contained cabins.  Your stay is literally a stones throw away from the ocean! 

Twamley Farm

Established by a convict settler, a former home to a famous 19th century Tasmanian artist and now with the Turvey family since 1874, Twamley Farm is more than just accommodation. Located 10 min south of Orford, this amazing property allows you to explore the local countryside on the farm whilst staying in boutique accommodation.

Maria Views B & B

Enhance your Tasmanian getaway by staying at their one or two bedroom apartments located at Orford and with very handy to access to Maria Island.  Maria Views cater for families, couples, or some quiet me-time to soak up our lovely local scenery.

Wind Song Bed & Breakfast

Wind Song is a beautiful 220 ha farming property, situated at Little Swanport on Tasmania’s east coast. It’s only 15min north of Triabunna or one and a half hours from Hobart and close to Maria Island and Freycinet National Parks.

Tandara Motor Inn

The Tandara Motor Inn is a favourite option for the budget conscience traveller and their self contained units are always well received.   The motel is located on the outskirts of Triabunna and is a 15min walk or 2min drive to our town centre and marina.  It has a bottle shop for your convenience.

Prosser Holiday Units

Prosser Holiday Units offer homely holiday units all overlooking the Prosser River in the beautiful seaside town of Orford. They are single or double storey and north facing to capture the Tassie sun.  Their five units and holiday house are all fully equipped and self contained with an onsite laundry and a barbecue gazebo.

Spring Bay Hotel

The Spring Bay Hotel is located right on the marina at Triabunna and is only a 50m walk to our Maria Island cruise terminal.  This heritage listed hotel is a favourite with locals for it's quiet charm, friendly staff and lack of gaming.   It offers very basic clean accommodation for the budget conscience traveller heading to Maria Island National Park.

The Blue Waters is a large hotel on the main highway in Orford and a popular eating spot for hungry locals.  Including the well known restaurant, the hotel provides budget accommodation, gaming, keno, UBET, a sports bar and a large outdoor area as well as a Thirsty Camel Bottle Shop!
